We are an organization made up of many volunteers. Our operating costs are relatively small ( about $15,000/year) funding research, website activities, phone, postage, etc. The IRS mandates that we receive contributions (regardless how small) from a wide base of donors. To be a “member” we ask for a donation of $10.00.
For larger gifts, we offer sponsorship opportunities that can be treated as a “marketing expense” for those who can better benefit from a tax perspective.
As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, all contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent provided by law.
